The ERR Railsounds commander states that diesel RPM's adjust in CONVENTIONAL mode, but that when in COMMAND mode, manual adjustments may be made to RPM's. These instructions are not entirely clear as to the features that can be expected. Which of the following statements regarding the ERR Railsounds Commander in COMMAND mode are correct?
1. You're stuck using manual RPM mode. Buttons 3 and 6. That's it.
2. You can feed the RS Commander serial data from a hall effect sensor or cherry switch, to trigger RPM ramping in absolute speed mode.
3. The RS Commander adjusts RPM's in automatic mode: throttle adjustments on a CAB1/CAB2 will automatically send simultaneous TMCC "run level (RPM)", and "absolute speed level" commands, so I don't need hall sensors or cherry switches.
4. If one does not use a DC/AC commander to connect to the ERR Railsounds Commander, but rather uses Lionel Motherboards/R2LC chips and a DCDR or ACDR, would the above answers change?
Any help would be appreciated. I'm new to ERR products and trying to sort out the logic of their operation to determine the appropriate hardware.
