I'm looking for an O scale or 1/48 scale figure with an old speed-graphic style camera on a tripod.

My planned layout needs to have a photographer waiting for a train. It takes place in the WW2 era in the US, so 35MM cameras wouldn't be all that common yet and most train biffs were still taking large format negative shots at that point in history.

I have searched among 1/48 military figures but I can't find anything in 1/48 scale for anyone with this kind of camera. I could scratchbuild one, but frankly, I'd rather not.

Any ideas?

Thanks for the link, Greg. I might get the press photographer anyway, but I really need the camera on a tripod and by itself. I could scratchbuild one, but would rather not if I didn't have to.

The scene I'm looking to model is a representation of a specific person*, he always used a Speed Graphic on a tripod. I want to model this person sitting in a chair with the camer pointed down the tracks, as if he's waiting for the train. It's based on a photo of him I have.

*This is nobody any of you would have heard of, this is a nod to a guy I used to work with years back. He was taking shots of trains with a 1930s camera well into the 1980s.

Nice! I don't recall ever seeing this set before. Yeah, the two survey guys would work just fine for a camera as well. Wouldn't be tough to make the camera body itself. Still, I would have thought someone would make what I was looking for already.

Gonna have to do some kitbashing, it seems...
