Finishing base of elevated track

i will be running an elevated double rail track through the back of my city. it will be about 6 inches above street level but could be as high as 8 inches. what have others done to box in what will be wooden risers with a plywood deck. i have considered boxing in ang using a stone face but would appreciate suggestions.
