Here's my ends of the front kind for this fine Friday! The business ends of a rotary and flanger snow plows as the Free State Junction Railway is being pummeled with snow today.

Mark, another beautiful locomotive in your fleet, the paint scheme is very cool! MTH Premier is great stuff, but right now I only have Lionel CAB-2. I'm waiting for MTH to release the new TIU/WTIU DIGITAL COMMAND SYSTEM 2 so I can start adding MTH locomotives to my fleet! Thanks for posting!!

Nice equipment Patrick.
Here's my entry for FeF. These 3 Southern Pacific Locomotives could have possibly been on the rails at the same time. The FM Train Master was manufactured from 1953-1957, the 2-6-0 Mogul M6 around until most were retired by 1958, and the EMD SW8 was introduced in 1950.
Happy Friday to you all!!

Happy FEF
A NH PA in McGinnis colors. These colors were adopted in 1954 when Patrick McGinnis took the throttle. II am not sure which version Williams used on this set.

Here are a couple of "foreign" front ends for today. Both from the pw period, late 40's early 50's and both by "Brimtoy" of the United Kingdom.
First the "Britannia" steamer
Next the "Wells Brimtoy" Silver Streak.
Happy F.E.F. to everyone. No snow here in central Texas but very unusual COLD...temperatures well below freezing and way below our normal temps. Note...I was rewarded last weekend with frozen and then broken water pipes...What a Circus!!
Best Wishes

Always a delight seeing your unique models Don.
Hope you didn't have too much damage to the water pipes .
Over here the 10 inches of snow is insulating the water pipes from the 10 degree air temp this morning..
God speed sir.
Larry I didn't know the New York City Subway system had a line down to Tennessee.
@Dallas Joseph- Thank you for the kind words about my trains and my frozen pipes!! Luckily when the water returned the leak (more like a fountain) was outside so only the lawn got flooded. Was finally able to get a plumbing crew in to fix it on Thursday afternoon. 4 days w/o water is not fun...Thanks again for asking Dallas.
Best Wishes

Yup.......better having the excess water outside.
( where I lived before we saw ice coming out of the second and first story windows at our neighbor's in the winter while they were away on vacation. Ugh!!! )
Happy Front End Friday everyone! This week I'm running some New York Central steamers on my layout. On the outer mainline, I'm running my big MTH 763e gray Hudson, my biggest technically-tinplate locomotive.
On the inner mainline, one of my few "shelf queens": a Lionel TMCC Mikado. It's a very pretty engine but has the early Odyssey speed control that doesn't work well. (Someday I'll get around to a Cruise Commander upgrade for this.)
Here's the obligatory video from my layout.

My model of New Haven Railroad Alco RS-1#0668 was made by Atlas O (6888-2, MSRP $429.95) in 2004. Here are some Front-End Friday views of #0668 for January 26, 2024.
