G scale pilots

It would be nice to have this option in "O" but Id also like MTH to give up the three rail flanges on there Premier diesels there just not necessary for three rail operation or tight curves. Optional pilots or better still a spacer to fix the pilot would give us options for tight curves, or much broader curves.      

Im slowly working on gauge one, Id have loved to grab the Triplex whilst it was on special but Im not sure if its still available, with all the talk of MTH getting out of gauge one.

 Atlas uses a spacer which would be a cool idea to have for conversions. I'm not sure if you mean MTH should just supply scale wheels or something else?

Joe   I Guess I was thinking that way back in O's beginnings there were a lot of three rail layouts and only a few two rail but they had the same wheel and track standards, Im thinking in the thirties and forties when the NMRA standard's were established, so scale wheels for scale loco's, the option of deeper flanged wheel's would still be there! Then you would be able to run any three rail loco,on two rail track and vic versa because the standards would be the same and no hassles with points, wouldn't that complete the versatility that MTH has been giving us. Just a thought!

By the way, the new sound set is fantastic. The engine sounds lug like a GE. The horn is deeper and less shrill. There's even a random track detector sound. I think they are using better speakers.

 Now if I could get them to make that deep turbo sounds on the EMD......

I have PS2 installed in a G gauge SD40-2. I wish MTH would make one themselves.

Joe, What are the Tums for?

Joe    I just received a SD 50 (in O scale) with PS3 installed and the sound set on that is an improvement, with  extra sounds Im not getting on my other EMD's I believe the sound is deeper to.
