I asked a while ago and received no reply. I too wondered what happened.
The last word is he is taking a break.
Also, what About Steve aka TX Special?
"Also, what About Steve aka TX Special?"
The operative word for Steve is sore. He is at home recovering from surgery and is expected to do just fine.

Good to hear he is doing well.
He is one of the nicest forum members.
Trainpop is alive, well, and still full of enthusiasm for trains. He continues to follow the forum but hasn't had time to chime in much. I expect that we will hear more from him as the issues that he's been dealing with are greatly improved. In fact he and Lolly got out with Steve Tapper for their holiday tour and meal in Baltimore this year.
TrainPop is the only forum member I have met in the flesh. He is NOT ALLOWED to be gone!
thanks Jim

Come to York and all of that will change!
Hi Guys;
Thanks for asking about me. It's much appreciated.
I had a long term family emergency to attend to.
Long story short: On July 2nd, 2013, I took my wife to the emergency room and she did not return home for 7 months. She had an infection in her spine that eventually took 2 surgeries to resolve. She was totally bed-ridden for 7 months but is on the mend now.
We have a physical therapist coming to the house twice a week to help her and teach how to walk and use her legs again. So, I'm mildly optimistic that I will be able to make it to York in April.
Wow! You and her have been through quite an ordeal! I am so glad to hear that things are finally starting to get better. Best wished to you both for her continued recovery.

TrainPop,
Glad to hear that your wife is making out better. Hope you will be able to make York and other MDOG events. Happy New Year to you.

Sorry to hear that your wife has had to endure a difficult health issue. Those things can be hard on a family but it sounds like she is coming around. We send our best wishes and prayers for her complete recovery.
Due to Lolly's situation we missed our annual Christmas visit to the B&O RR Museum, visit to the Wise Ave. Fire Department train garden and our dinner at Sabatino's Restaurant last year.
This year however Lolly was mobile enough to once again participate in our annual ritual. Here are some photos of our holiday get together along with some special photos of the great model train displays we got to see.
