OMG twice, Dennis. Your craftsmanship has captured such realism it's unbelievable. Wondering, Dennis, if other than the feat of building such an impressive structure, does the actual house itself have a special personal significance or ties to you or members of your family?

Mayor Magoo posted:

That is fantastic!   Have you placed it on your layout as yet?

It looks like he has it modeled on a baseplate, with a miniature yard around it, doesn't it. One can just about imagine how wonderful it would look as part of a whole layout's narrative. I hope we get to see more, eventually.

Thanks for all the great complements guys, the scope of the project is to reconstruct the entire light keepers facilities and the light house located on the Chesapeake Bay at Turkey Point near North East, MD. The folks from Maryland Park Service got the blueprints and I have volunteered to build a replica of what it looked like between 1900 and 1930. Several out building and the light house itself. Sad to day it will never see my layout. But I am having a great time building it. When completed it will be displayed in the nature center at Elk Neck State Park.
