What needs servicing on your 464?

I just need it to work! One problem is the round "logs" almost always have a problem dropping down the tray the way they should. One jams and that takes care of the operation. Once in a while a plank will do the same. Too much jammed and the string comes off the pulley for the vibro-motor.
It is gotten to the point where I am about to give up. Would a silicone spray help lube things up??

I mentioned this on your other 464 thread but, check the tension on your belt/tape. This can be adjusted by sliding the motor closer or farther away from the center portion of the saw mill. If there is not enough tension, logs will fail to pass into the mill properly.
With regards to lumber catching at times, I have found this to be caused either by a log not fully ejecting into the “holding area” (for lack of a better description) or if the humidity is too low in my basement train room. The low humidity I address simply by sticking a finger in a glass of water and passing it down both sides of a piece of lumber.

On my computer at the top near my member name is the search title. You can do a rough or refined search with the advanced setting.
On my phone with the app. I can go to the upper left corner, click on the 3 stripes, scroll down to search.
I discovered long ago that locking the garage door in the up position keeps the logs from jamming.

What happens in my case is that the log enters the area where it will be directed down into the holding area. By slowing down the belt, the log gets a better chance to drop before the hook pushes it too far and jams. But yet the log doesn't roll off every time and still jams. I have taken off the access door for other reasons, but we still have a jamming session. Using water is interesting. Is not water to some extent a lubricant? Maybe I will still try a silicone spray, at this point I have nothing to loose.
