I have a William's F7 equiped with ERR command control thats not working?----got it working----

I had a similar issue on a PS2 converted Williams E7;  it required and adjustment to the tach tape.   Mine would creep like yours, and then at 10 SMPH, it would take off like a banshee at ridiculous speed.  Had to shut down to stop it.  

At least one thing to look at;  I doubt it's the controller.  

Try swapping the radio board.

Whose kits did you use to do the TMCC conversion? ERR kits do not have a tachometer tape.

You might try unplugging the connectors and plugging them back it. Look for issues with the antenna.

Roy Boy its the Electric RR co cruise commander R2LC and sound commander 2 ,that I have instaled in my Williams F7.I put it on the track last night and powered it up and programed it just like I allways do. The instant I hit the set button it crept backwards real slow and would not stop until I powered down the transformer.The Cab 1 buttons didnt respond at all when pressed.Just a little bit on the horn periodically .

I think I'd try Bill's suggesting first, swap the R2LC with another C08 or C13 board and program that up.  Remember, you have to set the type code as well, probably AUX-8 for that locomotive.

Check the antenna wire while you're at it.  I was playing around with my recently installed CC in a Williams 2-8-2 and kept having problems, until I realized the antenna wire was still in the boiler shell I just removed

And if that is the case where would be the best place to purchase a new board John?

If you need a board, they are inexpensive and readily available.  First thing to try would be to swap it with a working one to be sure that's actually the issue.

Fixed it----I had the antenna wire plugged in to the coupler port,I guess you could call it that.So now the antenna is in the proper spot and its working well.
