I wish these buses were made in O gauge...

Corgi buses are somewhat similar in style and era. They are the ones I remember from my youth in New York.

Here are photos of two Corgi buses I have modified to 'Streets.  They are slightly different models but the one on the left is very much like yours.  I had to shorten them so the wheelbase would make it around the tight 'Streets curves. My favorite is the one that looks so much like your bus - just a very wonderful "generic" city bus of a bygone era.  I run these nearly constantly through my downtown area and love them.   

There were many GMC's driven around in the late 1950s and early 1960s. They were my favorite and I rode them often.They looked very much like this beautiful green Girgi bus on the photos.

The small city in Ontario Canada that I grew up in was very advanced for the day. They originally had a track based street car system and then switched to these electric buses.

They look similar to the buses shown above, but with trolley poles. I recall riding these silent buses and every now and then the pole would pop off and the driver would have to get out and reset it. 

I wish somebody would make the double decked Van Holl megabus!  (The "m" is small on the company stuff!)

I'm currently waiting for the postman to deliver one of these to me. It should look nice sitting in my station car-park. 

I've got a number of Corgi buses on my workbench shelf, bought new or used - some banged up, but including a pristine Lionel Lines and a near-perfect Greyhound, that I plan to convert to 'Streets and/or use stationary on my layout.  All are similar in size and style (I mean, how different can a basic single-decker bus be?) but vary slightly as to windows (note the difference in the two I have in my picture posted earlier) and all are nicely done.  Corgi buses are around 1:55 scale I think and thus a bit small when alongside some other vehciles and trains, but they look okay alongside most cars, and if not too close to buildings. 

I have a Corgi New Englamd Transportation (New Haven) bus that is one of my favorites.  I would love to see a Boston and Maine bus, a Maine Central bus, or a Bangor and Aroostook bus.  All of these these RRs had bus lines that serviced outlying towns when they cut back on train passenger service.

The models above resemble the GM coaches that were around when I was a kid. I've not seen any repros of the Brills that preceeded them here in Baltimore.

Nicole, would you mind sharing where you were able to find your MILW bus?

I found that bus on the Charles Ro website. It's made by MTH, item # 3050060.  I'll be happy to post some pictures as soon as it arrives. It's currently in the postal system, so I should have it in about 10 days time.
