Good Morning!  I've gotten super advice so far here on layout design and now I believe I'm ready to do more than conventional. Wire feeds to the track are about every 4 feet.    I use a Z4000 currently, looking to use a MTH501033 "DCS Remote commander".  What are the pros/cons?  I'm super careful about the juice pumping out from the Z4000.  What type cord would I use to connect these?  Should I just buy a Z1000, or is this workable?   Any advice or shared stories is appreciated!

How is that wired in?

In series with the hot lead between the transformer and track.  The DCS-RC output terminals should be connected to the track AFTER the inductor, the inductor is there to prevent the low impedance of the transformer from attenuating the DCS track signal.  Nothing is connected to the DCS-RC input power jack.
