IT's TEAM TRACK TUESDAY!!! Share your team track photos here! Team tracks are a vital part of real railroad day to day operations. Team tracks are found in remote rural areas ( as in today's rendering on the FSJR ), small towns, and large cities. Most types of freight cars can be on/off loaded on team tracks as can some passenger head end cars and MOW cars too.
It's apple season! This week on the Free State Junction Railway's Mountain Division team track in Lildanlu ( a very small whistle stop community ) local farmers are bringing their apple crop to be loaded onto a freshly painted Whitehouse Apples reffer. The apples are packed in barrels and crates all ready for market. Once Jake breaks the security seal and opens the doors, the loading process will begin. Meanwhile Groover Holmes sits on the tailgate of farmer Bob's pickup truck drinking a soda and fantasizing about all the hard cider all those apples could make. Groover loves his cider and the harder it is the better!
