K-Line Superstreets

Allan, Superstreets are made exactly the same way regular track is made, particularly Fastrack with rails tabbed underneath the plastic base.  So, unless you are running command control equipment, multiple vehicles will not be able to be controlled separately.  However, you could isolate sidings by removing the third rail pins leading from the switch in order to store different pieces of your equipment - and bring new pieces out when you want, powering each siding with a toggle switch.

Turnouts are only 90 degrees with makes parking lane pullovers difficult unless you do it around a corner.

Happy Father's Day to all of you Father's out there. I'm hoping someone will be able to help me with this small situation. Does Superstreets have control blocks or traffic signals available like the railroad do? Can more than one vehicle run on the street at the same time? Can a vehicle be programmed just like the railroad to do certain task on the Superstreets? Exp: You put a siding for a Delivery Truck or a Metro Bus while the traffic is still moving. If anyone can help me with this I would appreciate it very much. I hope to hear from anyone soon.

What you want to do can be done but you would need to use relays and some kind of vehicle detection system.  Plus it sounds like you will want to use a timer circuit for the bus stops.  I use relays with Superstreets insulated outside rail sections which work fine but I’m only running MTH Railking PCC trolleys.  Light weight vehicles such as autos and trucks are not heavy enough and do not have enough wheel surface to properly trigger relays using insulated outside rail sections plus if they have traction tires they stall out due to losing ground on the insulated rail sections. 

A few years ago Dale H posted a series of articles with a possible solution using reed switches and magnets to detect the presence of a vehicle.  Try searching the archives to find his postings.
