Kadee Compatible?

If there is no spring on the side of the knuckle, and they are very new, they could be the all plastic version of the latest Kadee 740 series coupler (can't remember the exact part number of the all plastic version). 

Looks like the ones that come with the Weaver 2 rail cars. Identical.

As to your question, I've never had reason to use them, so I've never matched them up with Kadees.

All the Weaver couplers I have are metal (boxes and couplers), but then again I only have a few pairs.  The metal ones do mate up with Kadees though, so if they fit.......

I'm pretty sure they're not the new Kadees since they've been laying around for a few years.

There were a bunch of 2 rail wheels and trucks in the same box, so Weaver is a possibility. 

I guess I'll mount a couple pairs and see how they work out.  The mounting hole spacing is exactly the same as the Kadees so if these aren't satisfactory, I can easily replace them with the Kadees.

They are the early design plastic scale Weaver knuckle coupler with gravity close knuckles.  The mountine holes match the center line ones on Kadees.  The design flaw was a very weak knuckle as there was insufficient material surrounding the glad hand.  Several years ago Weaver totally redesigned their scale coupler using metal and a closure spring

Thanks, Ed.  I was afraid that was the case.   These might not be worth the trouble, glad I didn't pay for them.
