This Sunday is the last DuPage show before the summer break for the county fair. There is no show in July every year. Should be a good show and the weather is supposed to be good too.

I dunno if this will hold over those starved for a show due to the drought of July, but the following Sunday, June 8, there is a train/railroadiana show at Kane Co. FG.
I went to that once quite a few years ago and bought a UP passenger car step stool. I planned to go again but never seemed to make it. Maybe this year. Thanks for the reminder.

How many of the usual gang are planning to make it Sunday?

I hope that your lack of responses does not mean no one?

Okay, I'm going. I wanted it to be a surprise.
If you build it, they will come. Since Dupage has been built, Art, they will come.
Looks like you guys are going to make me go to Google to find out where DuPage and Kane Co are at.

I'll be there! First time for 2014. Looking to finally catch one before the summer break.

Dupage Co. Fairgrounds and Kane Co. FG, are west of Chicago, Illinois, in those
respective counties. Dupage is out Roosevelt Road (Rte. 38), a considerable distance, in Wheaton, go north on County Farm Road, and Kane Co. is in St. Charles, even farther out, also north of 38. Now that the O scale March Meet is also off 38, in a big hotel in a shopping mall just south, three shows are straight west of Chicago.
I'm going too. See all at breakfast.

There are four large county fairground buildings, two on your left as you enter,
the first being the largest with a stage at the back, another behind it, a large one across from the first with a snack bar, and a smaller one, but not small, on the right at the back of the property. On a good day, all are filled, with the parking lot between
also full of outdoor setups. But I have not been there lately. I'd appreciate a critique of tomorrow's show. $4.00 gas has kinda killed my enthusiasm for the long drive,
and some summer shows elsewhere are sparse. If it was 50 miles or less I'd be
there, although in my later years of attending less of interest showed up, but that
has happened at York, too.
There are actually 5 buildings, but the 5th one is usually not worth walking back to. The first 4 buildings are normally full of tables and layouts. Should be a lot of outdoor sellers with the warm, summer weather that is forecast. I don't know the number of tables or usual attendance, but will see what I can find out on Sunday. Might even take a couple pictures so you have a better idea what it is like every month.

Had a great day at the DuPage show today. Just got home a little while ago and will start a new thread with some pictures to show you what the show looks like to someone that hasn't seen it.
