Since the SensorTrack is nearly here, I've been trying to plan out how to do my wiring, and have gotten myself confused.

The new LCS PDI cables seem to be the same gender at each end, like an ethernet cable, instead of different, like an AC extension cord. If they are configured like ethernet cables, then without having any extension cable configurations or in-line couplers available, how does one resolve the problem of creating custom cable lengths?

It looks like my Legacy base is going to be 14' from the first SensorTrack location, and since the 6-81499 DB9 Cable with Power Supply is only 10' long - . There would seem to be no way at this time to join two cable segments, other than plugging an LCS module between them.

Am I completely misunderstanding all this? Is there any information on the connectors and wire type needed to create DIY cables?

Thanks!
