Hey Guys,
I found this set in a box of old stuff my Grandfather left me when he passed. I remember him bringing this home from a European trip in the mid 70's. He said he would have to make track for it, but never got around to it, so I know it's never been run. Can anyone give me a ball park value? Is anyone interested in buying it? Please let me know.

Well, you said there's no track, so I guess you also don't have the set box or the battery pack.
I don't see anything unusual there; it's the British diesel, early production [ BB67000 sideframes ] and the cars look 'standard'; the STEF reefer is the least common of the three.
Why not buy a loop* of 2 rail track, an HO transformer -- it runs on 12 vdc -- and run it under the Xm-- er, Christmas tree in your Grandad's memory.
Or put it on 'that well known auction site'.

That's pretty neat. So what, it runs on battery power then? Looks like it would make a neat conversion to an electric type loco. Is it O scale or HO? I'm thinking maybe more an On30?
What would you want to sell it for?
You would have no trouble selling it. The loco would be worth $150-$200 and rolling stock about $35-$40 a piece. Advertise on UK eBay as well. Being in new condition will make it sought after. But, if it was mine, I'd do what is already suggested and run it.
