Hello. Is there anywhere on the web which serves as a good primer into the ins and outs of Lionchief plus?

Like, what exactly is it, and how does it differ and compare to Legacy and/or TMCC?

I'm trying to learn about it starting at the very basics, but the Lionel website is seemingly not very helpful.

Think of LionChief as a radio control system (with additional control channels) that employs track power at the receiving end instead of an onboard battery.

LionChief Plus is the same thing, with the added ability to run as a conventional transformer-controlled locomotive just by flipping a switch. So far this is currently  available only in separate-sale locomotives.

I'm a relative newcomer to the LionChief Plus line. I just got one (B&O Pacific) the week before Christmas. I have to say that even after seeing several videos and reading about them on the forum I was still blown away by the great features for the price point. The speed control, smoke unit, and overall performance have been excellent. And I was sold with the ability to run it with the included remote or conventionally. Again, for the cost (I got mine for <$300), it's a real winner.

I'm sure you'll get plenty of good info on the Legacy/TMCC versus LC+ question.

What are the options for integrating LC+ with conventional? Is it possible for conventional locos to share the same loop with LC+ locos?

They probably could share the same track together with conventional Locomotives but the two probably wouldn't play well together. Unless the track in question was a conventional setup already prepared to operate two conventional locomotives together.

I've got the LC+ Mikado (Chessie). Seeing it can run conventional and at the lower conventional voltages, I don't see why you can run it via remote while running, say a Williams engine.
