Just purchased a 5906 for use in ringing the bells on my Williams Diesels. However, the activation and deactivation of the bells only work when the diesel is in close proximity of the lockons. I use MTH track. Do not know if the problems is with the 5906 or the Williams sound cards. Any help would be appreciated
I dunno -- I use a 5906 and it works equally well for Lionel and Williams locomotives. The only difference I can see (going by what you've said in your post) is that A: I use FasTrack, and B: My power leads go directly to the tabs on the bottom of the track, rather than through anything resembling lockons.
I don't know how big your layout is, but it might be that you need more connection points from the power supply.
