The relay in the 153IR is only good for about 2 amps as I recall.

So it will work for several low power devices such as block signals and modern crossing arms.

Older Lionel solenoid operated devices like crossing arms and watchman types draw a heavy current and will over tax the relay if you use more than one.

You can however use the 153IR to trigger a secondary 12 volt relay under the table, and run as many devices as you wish.
