Well, I haven't needed to buy that one yet.   Older stuff has a limited amount of stock, then it's not available, nature of the beast.

Yes, quite the conundrum of the hobby: parts availability for older engines.

I have been searching the forum to find out when Lionel Parts offers their free shipping week and have not found anything; does anyone recall when that is??

Sadly I don't recall hearing about a free shipping week. If they have it I'm sure someone here would know about it.

Zachariah, thanks a million!!

GRJ, not free shipping as you said; but:

50% off parts purchased Friday, November 8, 2019 (12:01 a.m. ET) through Sunday, November 10, 2019 (11:59 p.m ET); will get the RCDR then and keep on hand.

Update on the 2010 Challenger:  I had a Homer Simpson moment regarding the Rule 17 headlight feature; you have to press and hold the Rule 17 button on the Cab 2 remote to get the Automatic headlight dim/bright headlight feature; works good; DOH!
