Re: Lionel fastrack greenstick newbie for bus wiring

Ok, sorry veterens of setup and layout BUT need a ll help. I am doing a simple oval with a figure 8 in it on a 4x8 plywood sheet and that’s it. I am talking track power bus only right now. Do I need to run one? How many feet should I run feeders AND is it ok to hide bus right under fat track? I have a LIONEL CW-80 running a postwar celebration congressional GG-1 set.

To start I would use a feeder at each end of the layout. Run wire under track should be ok.

For a permanent trouble free layout Wire taps to track are made so that every third track is tapped or every track joins a tapped track, which would be after every third joint. ( -- -- -- tap->-- -- -- tap>-- )
