Anyone have a real precise and Clear way to wire this accessory

I am not clear on the way to wire it and do not want to fry it like i did my Lionel Nutcracker Gateman

As far as a trigger Mechanism I am wanting to use and MTH Scaletrax ITAD or something Similiar.

Any and all help is appreciated

somehow i hooked it up and had current going through the coil constantly this is how i fried it

Dale I am a dunce here

it looks like you are making the outside rails hot on the insulated track sections to trigger the relays Am I missing something here

Only the center rail is hot. On a PWZW for example the track power goes to A or D. B or c could be used for relay power or a separate transformer where the U is shared. The relays will work even when the train is not powered.  The relay contacts would power the Gateman. Also separate from track power.

 

Your gateman should be designed for continuous operation. If it is not you could install a timer circuit to deactivate it after a set time.
