Based on past performance, the outlook is hazy. Outside of a few high-end sets derived from a single set of molds, and the M7 starter sets, there hasn't been anything else announced. I'd hope to see some M-8 sets, but along the size class  of their Amfleet cars and not the 12-inch "O-27" variety (which is unlikely since they'd probably want to match the size of the earlier sets)

I mean, they're even marketing New York Central passenger sets as "MTA Licensed".

One wonders if they got the MTA license (as an exclusive, no less) just to interfere with MTH's success with subway sets.

i herd mta lost the license because of their graffiti set, then Lionel picked it. in overall the subway market has died and i don't think Lionel would spend the money just to mess with  mth, because since 2005 mth has been making subways with no logo and they still sell, so for lionel to spend that money and not do anything with it just kind of throws us all off and wonder what do they plan to do with it. i have all 3 Lionel subway sets and they are pure fantastic the r27 had problems but lionel took care of it, i wish they would make modern subways like an R160 the sounds would be great

i wish they would continue and make more seems kind of stupid to make 3 subways and thats it  and when mth makes subways even thou they are remakes people still buy them, as of now to mth it doesn't even mater who has the license. IMO
