Could some knowledgeable individual please tell me whether Marx 027 (3 tie) and 034 (5 tie) are the same rail height? My 999, 666, and 333 locomotives don't object to a mixture of these track types, but my recently acquired 1095 F7 Santa Fe diesel seems to bottom out on some but not all of the 027 stuff. Yes, the Marx O-34 track is the same profile (height) as O-27.
Thanks very much BMORAN4. The 027 track that I have been using in a test oval is a mixture of Lionel and Marx. I will have to look to see if one brand has a higher cramp-on than the other.
When you start discussing switches and crossovers, then there are "annoyances" here and there between Lionel and Marx. It isn't rail height as it is other geometries.
