A while back, I modified my Marx #21 diesel with a Williams power chassis. I had figured I would use ERR boards and add TMCC, but it would end up being my only TMCC engine. I decided to go with DCS so it would be the same as the rest of my modern tinplate. I removed the Williams chassis and used a Railking SD90-MAC chassis. Actually a rather simple mod. I still need to do some refinements, but it is working great.

A friend of mine way back when I worked at Delco had a VW with a small block Chevy in the front. It was funny to see him sit in it with his back following the curve of the rear window area. He was a big guy making quite a site. Not very practical, but fun as hell on cruise nights.

That's funny Steve.  I'm pretty tall too (6-10) so my usual method was to unbolt the driver's seat sliding track from the floor and bolt it back down as close to the back seat as it would go.  There was a succession of beat Toyotas and Subarus that got this treatment; like your friend, people would double-take when they saw my head and shoulders in the window of the back door and nobody in front.

Although I did have a 68 bug, I should admit that it wasn't mine that got the 911 engine.  After high school i briefly attended a 2-year technical school, and my physics prof was a VW head.   A bunch of us hung out in his garage and got in the way mostly, although I probably learned more about VW's than I did about physics.   This was when Nixon was president - the Watergate hearings were on a little b&w TV in the garage.  I was sorta distracted and dropped out soon after to go do something else, I think there was a girl involved if I remember correctly.

Anyway, back to trains, your video showed the PS2Marx moving nice and steady and slow, but you realize there are unanswered questions about how fast it can accelerate and how many dozens of cars it can pull...
