Hello gentlemen,

This is my first post so please be patient as I learn. I found this bottle in my late father's train box from his younger days. I can't find anything on it out in internet land. I was hoping someone here could be of assistance in validating it's authenticity and age.

Thank you

Unfortunately, the Ives box was a bust. Sorry for the hype. Nothing in it Ives related, just some miscellaneous items. A car with a label that says Dorfan, a neat transformer, and some track with a fourth small rail I've never seen before. Still sorting through the rest, still some boxes to go.

The 4 rail track is American Flyer, used to activate their whistle in tenders and some other cars.  It has a fiber board base that warps when it gets moist.  It was included in some sets like the Hiawatha and the Burlington Zephyr when the whistle was in their tender or baggage car.  I think it was available in the late '30s and then for one year it was cataloged for separate sale with 3 rails. Yours looks to be in pretty great condition.
