Yes, it is easy to do. The Atlas and Ross track is the same height and rail is about he same profile. I have had a lot of problems with my Atlas switches so I have replaced many with Ross switches. Once ballasted, it is hardly noticeable. I simply use the Atlas rail joiner (You will need to pry the rail up a little and possibly remove the staple (nail) holding the rail to the end tie to get full use of i/2 of rail joiner on the Ross rail.
One cannot go wrong with Ross Custom switches!
