I recently had a service call in Rensselaer, Indiana.  On the way back to the shop I passed through Monon, Indiana.  Just north of town is a museum dedicated to the Monon Railroad called Monon Connection.  I only had a few minutes to stop, and it was starting to rain, but I did get  a few pictures of the outside displays. While they do not have any motive power, there is quite a collection of rolling stock, including a wrecking crane.  Unfortunately, I didn't have time to check out the inside displays, but I do remember that there was a very nice collection when I visited a few years ago.

If you are in western Indiana and have a chance to stop here, you won't regret it.  It is located on US-421, just north of Monon.

Here are some of the photos I took.  Enjoy!

Tom, thanks for posting the pictures. I grew up and spent half my life in northwest Indiana so whenever we are back home visiting I try to get back to the Monon Connection Museum. Great collection of railroad memorabilia including collection of railroad watches and many lanterns. Whistle stop restaurant also was some good eating. For more information check out their  webpage at http://mononconnection.com
