So I picked up an Proto 3 AC4400CW and upon unboxing it I noticed a red plug wire laying on top of the rear truck. I'm pretty sure they didn't use plugs on the trucks and it's possible that the wire slipped down through the slot. Would anyone have any idea where this might go before I take the shell apart? Thanks.

Let me also add, as far as I can see everything seems to be functioning just fine from motors, lights, sounds and smoke.
Most PS3 diesels have a generic harness that may have unused plugs. Most are tied to the harness above the board. Unusual that it is over the truck. If it bothers you, open it up and inspect inside.
If its a red wire, that may be for the center pickup roller. I would take it apart and do futher inspection.
Spare molex plug dropped through hole. Just push it up inside so it does not get caught on truck. G
