I am developing a plan to video 611 on its Saturday May 6 run eastbound to Petersburg. Earlier this week I scouted several locations along parallel route US460 that have good sightlines and safe/legal places to setup a camera. The schedule calls for the train to depart Lynchburg at 8:30 AM and arrive downtown Petersburg at 12:30 - with no publicized intermediate stops. Given its 110 mile route largely on a double track main this leads me to wonder if it will stop at Crewe, VA (where NS freights change crews). This is relevant to my planning as if 611's train stops at Crewe I would have time to set up and video the train at locations both east and west of town.
Question - since 611 ran the same route last year, does anyone know if it stopped at Crewe?
