Steve Phetterplace (SIRT) is in New Smryna, TN .
Email me when you get in town. I'm 20 min from downtown near NISSAN.
I suggest scheduling a tour inside Nissan on Monday if you want to see it. Almost a month in advance to get in now.
We can run some trains. I am 3 minutes away from the plant.

My daughter goes to college in Tennessee, her college isn't to far from where Steve (SIRT) lives. Last summer I had the pleasure of meeting Steve in person and seeing his BEAUTIFULLY DETAILED LAYOUT. Gary if you get the chance hook up with Steve he's a great guy.
Steve I will most likely be in Tennessee in August, I will call you and we can get together.

You may also wish to visit the Union Station Hotel while you are there. Although it is no longer a functioning railway station, it is a beautiful building with an excellent restaurant. I stayed there a lot back in the '90s. You can also walk around the outside of the building and get a wonderful view over the yard and tracks below.

Is the Central Tn RR Museum still there?
The Tennessee Central Museum is still there. Also hobby shops in the area are Hudson Classic Hobbies and Phillips Toy Mart. In Murfreesboro there is Thor's. They all carry Lionel.
