I think you can infer from the lack of responses what we already know.  There really isn't much documentation for K-Line stuff, and even when they were around, their manuals were generic for a whole product family.  They did very few model-specific manuals.

The "white circle" is a 10k pot, you can probably find a mate on Digikey.

Of course, pictures always help people to know what you have, is this your set?

Attached is a scan of the 8-page “generic” diesel locomotive instruction sheet which came with my K-Line PRR FM with Lionel TMCC and Railsounds.  I think these are the instructions you need.   I don’t have a parts diagram, though.
