Gentlemen,

Just completed another ERR install.  This is about the 8th one I've done.  It was a Proto-one-echtomoy of an MTH C&NW #4008.  It is running however, I am losing chuff occasionally for what seems to be no reason and this loco is having issues at most of the gargraves/ ross switches.  On the power loss at switches, since none of the other locos are having this issue, I will assume that it is a rails/ pickup issue with this specific loco?  I cleaned the rollers with no improvement.  They are slightly worn but I have seen much worse with no issue.  Would replacing the rollers be in order here?  What else could this be?

On the loss of chuff, I literally thought that the magnet was coming off.  But it does not.  If I stop the loco and back up, the chuff returns.  It seems like there is a lot of play in the tender wheel.  Could the wheel move far enough away from the reed switch that is loses "contact".  If so, is there a method to tighten up that play?

Any suggestions on these issue is appreciated.
