Good evening here a few shots from Cresson Pa last Sunday.
Also NS brought several engines in to the Cresson Engine House.
I belive they are 80 macs.
Good evening, here is a shot from Torrence PA Mile Marker 300
Well my hopes for my first NS and SD70ACE engine, the #1854 Giulio Brandimarte (PRR/NS), was dashed at auction this past weekend. Sigh.
Good evening, here is a few NS photo's from Cresson PA.
Also a west bound Amtrak.
A few from several weeks ago: Juniata shops in Altoona, Marysville Bridge, and of course ...Horseshoe curve.
Susquehanna Bridge at Marysville and the nearby yard (still trying to figure out what that little boat and lift were doing on the bridge)
Juniata shops in Altoona
Horseshoe curve, headed to Altoona, four pulling and two pushing.
Hokie72- On the 12 of Augest, We were at the Enola yard also, River Road at the north side of the yard is really an excellent spot to see trains being built and running through or into the yard. Did you happen to see NS 4001 and NS 1036 at Altoona? (Two locos wrecked at Mattawanna PA last april)
Here are the photos from Northumberland and Harrisburg/Enola Yards.
NS6770,
Nice shots. No I did not see those locos. As you probably know (unless there is a better place), it is hard to see deep in the yard from the road on the Juniata fence. I took these shots of what seems to be major work. Apparently 7332 is undergoing rebuild per this page:
NS Safety Train in Latrobe PA this past week.
You said you "were surprised at how empty the yard was..."
I think you inadvertently provided the answer - a mini-EMP strike on the yard by a competitor or 'would be terrorist' perhaps that knocked everything out for awhile?
very cool TRAINSRME !! really nice !
Good evening, a photo from Cresson PA.
I had to take a second look at this Tuesday. Triple Crown when out of business in St.louis year before last so I thought I was seeing things. My Boss stored all the old triple crown trailers on our yard I pulled a many of them from Edwardsville, IL. to the yard. Anyway I got a pic of him on the side track Tuesday. Then to day I caught him leaving town heading East. So you eastern Railfans keep your eyes open for this very rare manifest.
Good evening, I havn't seen this thread in a while.
Here is couple photos taken lately at Derry PA and Conpit.
