Phil,     Excellent looking model....    And, being 1/48 scale it fits in very well with our O Gauge trains we all admire and love to collect/run.   Years ago, in the '90s when my boys were still young (and myself!), the three of us decided to build 1/48 aircraft due to how they fit into our layout.  Also, we decided to do so with representing the development of jet/rocket powered aircraft.  As a result we purchased several of the X series of aircraft ( X-1, X-3, X-15, others), recon aircraft ( Y-12/SR-71, U2, recon versions of the F101 and F105), early versions (ME262, V-1, BAKA, F-86), and others still to be painted and assembled.  Point is, my sons and I spent quality time together and they learned patience and the importance of details, doing your best in all endeavors you pursue in life.  And, we had/have quite a nice "Air Force" for the layout and to display.  Now, if I can get them all out of the boxes, make some repairs/maintenance, find time to paint and complete more.

BTW, this does not include the prop driven WWI and WWII aircraft, and aircraft (rotary and fixed wing) for military flatcar loads.

Again, excellent work, sir.......
