The time you put into that layout has immeasurable value. Basically priceless. Also what it gives back to you and the others that have enjoyed it. Additionally, the fantastic pieces you're selling will get new life on the layouts of others lucky enough to buy them. Sad that such a work of art has to come down but all layouts do eventually. The really cool part for you is you get to build a new one!

Best wishes for your dad's health.

The nice thing about a ranch home is the bedrooms are on the first floor -- great when steps become a challenge.  But the REAL bonus is ranch homes tend to have LOTS of basement space!!!

Sorry I never made the road-trip across Pennsylvania to see your layout, but I followed your forum thread closely.  WOW... such talent!!!  And terrific inspiration to us all.

Wishing you all the best with your Dad's health, Patrick.

Yes Patrick, the prototype was a huge success!  I was lucky to have an opportunity to visit your layout after the forum breakfast a couple of years ago.  Will remember your dad in my prayers, and will never forget the wonderful time I had visiting your home and layout.  You've done so much and inspired so many of your fellow O-gaugers.  Continue to "live the dream".

Somehow, I missed this thread!

My wife Judy and I had the good fortune of being Patrick's and Jacque's guests a little over a year ago, had a marvelous time with them, and became good friends. Patrick has tremendous ambition and the wherewithal to match, so he can make his dreams come true.

Patrick, Judy and I wish you all the best, and we will be in touch.
