Have an older Atlas RS-3 locomotive which has never run correctly. Does okay in Conventional mode, but won't respond to about 1/2 the TMCC commands. Creeps along regardless of the Big Red Wheel settings, won't speed up or slow down, won't stop when told to. Recognizes it's ID to start up, and will reverse when commanded, while in TMCC mode. Have scrubbed the wheels and collector, cleaned out the axle bearings with electronic cleaner and re-oiled, with no improvement.
Any hints as to what might be the solution would be most helpful.
Atlas is sort of puzzled about it as well and the suggestions from Atlas have not resolved the problem.
If it works, the original has a problem...
