Are the LED becon lights known to fail? I bought a Premier S2 switcher back in April. I ran it conventional and everything worked. I picked up a Remote Commander and had to go to local train shop to have the engine reset for the Remote Commander to operate the engine. I noticed after this that the beacon light quit working. I now have DCS system and can tell the beacon light to turn on but doesn't. I also did a feature reset and that didn't work.

Thanks, Greg

Kind of weird it failed after a reset. I take it you can't turn it on via DCS?

If your comfortable working on your trains you can take shell off and make sure it is connected. Depending on how it is powered, could be a loose contact spring if they used post connectors, or it is a direct wire connection.

They are available for replacement.   G

It was after the reset that I noticed it didn't work anymore. I work on all my trains. I've taken my protos apart many times even a MTH block signal. I will probabaly take this one apart to make sure connections are good. It wouldn't be the first time I seen connections come loose in a loco.
