Recent production warranties about to expire

As everyone knows Lionel will no longer warranty any product that is more than three years old even if purchased new and from an authorized Lionel Value Added Dealer.

So, anything manufactured in 2009 is no longer under warranty and product manufactured in 2010 will expire by the end of 2013. I would think that any dealer that has New Old Stock might want to heavily discount the items once the warranty has expired.

Any thoughts on this subject.
