I have finished laying track on my switching layout.  The locos seem to perform well, however, once in while as a loco goes through a turnout, a sizable spark will emanate next to the wheel...lights go out and I have to reset.  After reapplying power I run the loco through the same turnout...no issues.  I have seen Legacy and MTH locos exhibit this issue.  I see scorch marks on the turnout where the spark occurs.  Again very inconsistent.  Sometime I can run the loco without issue for 5 minutes going through the four turnouts on the layout...then spark.  Any ideas?

I e-mailed Dave Hikel last night and he was gracious enough to email me back at almost 2:00am this morning.  He gave me a heads up on his method and was able to start work on the first of four switches.  Really can't say enough about his quick feedback to this issue.  Jonathan thanks for the heads up as well....really looking forward to smooth switch operations.
