If you run your Lionel Subway trains like I do, all the time then this is for you. After a motor replacement and power truck my R-27 started to slam into some switch points. Entering only and the rear truck would hit and ride up. First I thought switch points, as fast track switches sometimes have point issues. Well after watching this for hours I turned the car over and found one set of wheels moved vertically and the axle would then jam to one side, causing the flange to strike the points. I changed out the power truck and poof it was fixed. Apparently the bushing was worn from hours of use, something to keep an eye on.

Also the rear of the power car has a plug attached to the truck, the wires are very thin and have a glue on them to protect them,  it had started to wear so a little hot glue and they are once again protected.
