Sorry for the "Barney" question, but I misplaced my copy of Barry's book - ugh!  I just finished my under-table power panel with mounted TIU, terminal blocks and power sources. Really psyched that everything is coming along.  Anyway, I plugged my Lionel 180 Powerhouse brick via banana jacks into the top TIU "in" port, which is a variable port. And then the MTH banana jacks from the "out" side to the terminal block for the one loop I have wired. Fired up the loco and ... nothing. Took it apart and tried again. Nothing. I then moved everything down one post to the first "fixed" port and voila! Everything worked like a charm. I will have need for all 4 TIU ports for 4 loops of track.  As soon as I find Barry's book, I can determine, but in the meantime it's going to bug me - How do I get the 2 variable channels to work?  Thanks. Peter

Mike CT - thanks!  Just got home but will test this out tomorrow.    CAPPilot - thanks. I didn't give enough detail and should have mentioned that I have the TIU independently powered via Z500 to the aux. But I've made bigger blunders than forgetting to power things up!  (And each channel will be powered via a separate PH brick.)  Peter
