Hello...i just purchased a 763e hudson from 1997 that was upgraded a few years ago to their equipment...the question i have is regarding the speed...if you power it up on the legacy remote it will take what seems like an eternity to get going...i saw something about having 128 speed steps but i just want acceleration that is faster...any ideas? Thanks - mike

What exactly is in the engine, which TAS unit?  Taking off is usually an issue with the flywheel tach reader, did you check it's alignment and spacing?

The smoke may be the R2LC setting, there was a discussion about different options and certain ones cause smoke output to change.  Try setting the TMCC ID, and then with the switch still in PGM, hit AUX1 then 4.  Switch to RUN mode and see if that helps the smoke issue.

Well, it taking off on it's own would likely be the EOB board if you're not giving it throttle.  I did recently run across an odd issue with an R2LC drifting off frequency and causing a runaway after being powered on for some period of time, but I suspect that's a rare occurrence.

My check for this would be to put it on a set of test rollers and use a heat gun or hair dryer to heat the EOB board up a bit and see if you can force the failure.  That's how I found the R2LC issue finally.
