If I have an operating Command Control system with the Cab-1 remote, what is required to go full Legacy?
Best case is I merely purchase a Cab-2 remote, but I wonder if there isn't more to the transition than that.

1) You will need the 990 Legacy set (Base plus remote)
2) If you are using any PowerMasters you will need a PowerMaster bridge
3) If you are using a TPC, they just wire in
Disconnect the single wire from the TMCC base and move it to Legacy base. If you want to use the Legacy system and the TMCC Cab-1 base/controller at the same time, use the cable shipped with the Legacy set to tie them together. Never have the TMCC base wired to the track at the same time the Legacy base is wired to it
You will need to enter your engines into the Legacy base using your already assigned engine ID's

can you use the MTH Z4000 for power with legacy? how do you wire TIU and Legacy if so?
Yes on the Z4K.
And if it is an older TIU with the commons tied together then add the one wire from Legacy to one of the commons on the output.
I believe the newer TIUs, the commons on the output are not tied together, so you would need to tie them together on the output and add the Legacy one wire.
Currently, there seem to be no 990 Legacy sets at the internet shops that I typically make purchases.
I read somewhere that they would come available in April-13.
Is this true?

I believe some information states that the 990 Legacy Set will become available in April. Is that true?
