Warranty still valid on a lionel centipede?

This would be a good thing to talk over with your Lionel dealer before purchase. I would not automatically assume you will have problems before even making a purchase. I have purchased quite a few new engines over the last 3-4 years and have  not yet had a problem that required any of them to be taken in for warranty repairs.

I just killed a really BIG centipede in my basement.  Had to chase him around a bit, but I finally got the bugger.  

Finally someone else with a male engine. Everyone keeps referring to these engines as 'she' around here and I'm reasonably certain all mine are male. I have checked every one of them and they all have two little round things hanging from the underside of them. Was your warranty still valid on your centipede?

Actually, he didn't come with any warranty.  He just sneaked into the basement from parts unknown.  First, he was spotted on the wall, then he darted across the floor, and I cornered him in the train room, boarding a smoking caboose, and I nailed him with a fly swatter.  Legs flew everywhere.  I had to disassemble the caboose to remove all the extra legs.  What a mess.   

That's sick dude! I hit one a while back with a thirteen car freight train. The poor centipede ignored the warning horn and flashing lights and BOOM! I wish I got it on camera!
