Mike the one I ordered off E... needs an AC power source. So what my plan is that seeing I will only be using one handle on the Z4000 I will use the other to power the AC to DC module. From there I bought a bunch of step down DCV modules and that is how I will power the Menards buildings. The 10 and 14 volt on the Z4000 I'll use to power regular accessories. This morning I had a chance to glue some of the sides to the control base. Once that glue dries I can do the last side. Pic............Paul

Brian,   Great picture showing the different sizes of coal,  Thanks for posting.

Another 16 feet?    WOW !

Can't wait to see what you do Chris. Although I think the above photo could have potential....

I was going for a Depression-era bright color look.  Not bad for some rattlecan paint and masking tape,  if I do say so myself!

This train can be seen (and will be for sale) at the Springfield,  MO train show tomorrow (9/22/18).

Mitch, The latest addition to the Razorback Traction Co is an eye catcher for sure!!  Have fun in Springfield!

Johnny, Wiring doesn't make the front headlines, but it sure makes the accessories look good!!

Mike, You certainly did put that wood to good use!  The frame looks very sturdy, and what are you using as a tabletop?  I have to go, my wife wants to go fishing!!  How many guys can say that?

Brian,  Keep those coal tipple and colliery photos coming !   I can't tell you how many coal mine/tipple photos I searched through before I kit-bashed and scratch-built mine, but your photo selections are the best !!!!

Here's my completed coal tipple...

Got quite a bit done today for a one arm worker, thank goodness I made the leg assemblies and the L girders before surgery...  Here are some in progress photos, still have to build another 9 foot by 16 section which will attach to the end of this 16 foot section so the main lines can make a wide radius (096 and 0104 dia) turn around and come back to the main room.  The plan right now is to have the lower level climb, and the upper level decend so that they meet at the far end.... A 1.5% grade should do it as the run is long....  roughly 3/16" per foot and I have about 44 to 46 feet of total main line length.    The whole layout will then become a folded over "dogbone" with the return loops one over the other about a 220 foot main line.

Tried something new building this benchwork, I tilted the leg assemblies in at a 7.5 degree angle so I wouldn't have to put the 45 degree bracing.   I really dislike having too many legs, or too many angle braces as it gets in the way when I am tooling around on my custom made padded creeper working under the layout.

Hi Mark, thanks for the nice words, I am using 1/2" Plywood for the to, was going to use 5/8th but with the spacing I have 1/2" works great, I have already climbed on it to check it out!

Chris, your coal triple is fantastic ! but that's nothing new, seems like everything you do is just wonderful! I like the new addition to your layout and it looks like it going to be great looking as with everything else!

Wow Lee, to me that sure looks like a big can of worms! I sure wish the best for you on this one! LOL

Mark, P.S. Fishing was really slow, just 2, but got a really nice rainbow trout! Check it out!20180921_164625

Chris, You are doing great with one arm!  It is good you planned ahead of surgery !

Lee, Looks like you will leave a nice one all cleaned up, put together right, painted and decaled.

Mike, Yes 1/2 inch works good when the supports are spaced like we discussed earlier.  You proved it with your weight.  That is a nice rainbow trout for sure.  There aren’t many rainbows in Pennsylvania.
