I picked up a couple of beat up #8"s from EBay and decided that I would make them look better than Lionel ever did.  The results are attached, one in Black and Graphite and one in New Haven McGinnis orange, black and white.  The only problem is the 8's seem a little undersized compared to some cars. Since the 8's seem small I also picked up a Flyer 4654 which will get McGinnis paint in the near future.  after that I'll find some passenger cars and do them in the McGinnis paint scheme also.   Oh and by the way the Black and Graphite #8 is for sale in the classified section.

Wow, Pete, very nice painting!!

The graphite and black New York Central colors look great on the NYC square cab #8.  The New Haven colors will look awesome on the New Haven type cab used by Flyer, with the distinctive roof overhangs.  Very sharp!  Let us see the Flyer New Haven when you have it dressed up!
