While it seems from posts appearing on OGR that few members generally model the Strasburg or New Hope & Ivyland tourist shortlines of Pennsylvania, how many of you run them with other lines?

I'm curious how popular these lines are since it seems as though with the exception of Lionel's rtr set, used Strasburg engines seem hard to find and when located usually hold a significant portion of their original value.

Well without a doubt the Strasburg RR deserves the following and fanfare after Decades of Steam service in the real world.

The New Hope IMHO is still obscure and not much in O guage equipment is really out there. It's a Nice ride though and just 40 Min down the Delaware for me!

And If one is a fan of the NEw Hope & Ivyland, why not the Black river & western which is just across the river?

I don't model the Strasburg RR but run a couple of Strasburg boxcars with my Reading Lines freight trains. My boxcars are from Industrial Rail before their buyout by Atlas.

I was in Strasburg about nine days ago, now have some neat stuff for the children to do, play area that has crank cars on a small track. Also a small, I think 15 inch gauge, train ride.
