Hi,

Would anyone be able to post an Image of a LIONEL 392W Tender with an AMERICAN FLYER BRASS PIPER 4695 Locomotive ?

Originals or reproductions. It does not matter as I am only interested in the Size Comparisons.

I am trying to determine if a LIONEL 392W Tender would be a " Good Fit " Size Wise to replace the VANDERBILT Tender.

I prefer the look of the LIONEL 392W Tender .

Would the AMERICAN FLYER BRASS PIPER 4695 Locomotive be " Dwafted " while hauling the LIONEL STATE CARS ?

Thank you,

Norman

Hi Dan,

Thank you for posting the images !

The State & Comet sized car.

I am guessing that the UNION PACIFIC GOLDEN SPIKE is the Comet sized Car ?

That is a much better Height Size match than the STATE Car. Looks really good.

Does the Comet Sized Car come in a Green Body ?

Is the Comet Sized Car a

MTH AMERICAN FLYER Reproduction Coach or

a MTH LIONEL Reproduction Coach ?

The UP car is a MTH/Lionel comet sized car. I thought it matched up better too.  MTH/Lionel produced a bunch of green versions of the comet sized cars.  The darkest green I can think of is the Green Comet 11-40076

Mario's Trains (forum sponsor) still has a new set  https://www.mariostrains.com/i...id=12&Itemid=513

All you would need to do is fabricate a new drawbar between the tender & the engine.

This is something you may like to see too.  I haven't been lucky enough to get one yet.
